ANTONIO CIARALLO – MASSIMO MELLONI | 22 Feb - 15 Mar 2012
curated by Massimo Riposati
Antonio Ciarallo | Massimo Melloni | Rome Gallery Tours
The meeting of two artists who share a common love for the subtle vibrations of matter and the ineffability of color. An intimate solidarity deduced by an interest in a reality made through the filter of a color that almost erases the evidence to put the spotlight on the feeling, emotion, focusing on the evocation of pure description.

In Antonio Ciarallo the work is constructed from thickness derived from informal textural moods and emotions, with the immediacy of the action typical of synthesis and expression of a feeling that emerges each time, respect and love for painting: aggregate reflexes and presence of foreign material ever to painting, texture painting drawn and applied in many cases coming from the poetic texture of the lace, the criterion for combining transparency and breadth of painting, the only service of poetry.

In the work of Massimo Melloni is an invitation to attend their emotions, to make us sharers in his subtle work in search of minimum vibration, transparencies ineffable subtleties derived from mild modesty which is carried away by the color. To accentuate the most these feelings Melloni by a lining of the surfaces of his works, canvases or boards, with fragile gauze, able to absorb the color and transparency make the sensitive and filtered out, almost a rite of passage from a painting and descriptive analytic in an evocative and sensory.
